Here are a Few Items that Will Need Some Special Attention During Your Next Car Service:
- Spark plugs and wires – Have them cleaned and replaced as necessary. Inefficient spark plugs can cost you performance and fuel mileage.
- Caps -- Gas caps, radiator cap, brake fluids and more should have a tight seal to keep out water and debris for a smooth-running car.
- Headlights -- Road salt, harsh weather, grime and other debris can leave your headlights cloudy and dirty. Clean them up so you can see and be seen! You may need to have them professionally cleaned during your next car service.
- Tires – Rotate your tires (at least every 7,500 miles). Changes in temperature create fluctuations in air pressure so be sure to keep your tires properly inflated for even tread wear and better gas mileage.
- Interior of your car – Clean floor mats, dashboard, interior lights and windows. Spring cleaning is for your car, too.
- Air filter and cabin air filter -- Let the fresh air in!
- Fluid levels -- Checking the level of critical fluids is part of a basic car service to prevent an untimely car repair down the road.
