Two Big Reasons for Annual Car Service Inspections.
Most people wait until something goes wrong with their vehicle before they take it down to their car repair center. The problem with this is that problems could have possibly been avoided by routine car service check ups. Now in addition to the emergency car repair, there could be other problems that have arisen.
Here are just a couple of big reasons for an annual car service inspection:
Keeping the Engine in Top Shape
The engine is the heart of the vehicle, and within that compartment are several hundred moving parts that must all work together to ensure the vehicle will get you to where you need to go. When you neglect changing the fluids regularly or have the engine tuned up, you run the risk of these parts not getting the right lubrication and wearing out more frequently. This will then cost you several times more than a simple annual inspection. During the inspection the mechanic can spot any potential damage while it is still a very minor and inexpensive repair.
Maintaining Your Braking System
The majority of drivers will wait until they hear the screeching and squealing of the brake pads before they bring the vehicle to the local car repair station. If you had them serviced annually, the cost would be minimal compared to what needs to be done now that the metal of the pads has been grinding into those costly brake rotors. If the rotors are damaged beyond repair, they cannot be turned and cleaned, they need to be replaced. The other parts like calipers, brake hardware, hoses, and brake lines will all need to be inspected too for damage so that you can be safely on your way.
